Port Royal Sport Fishing

Some of us are born to fish and some us are called to fish. No matter what age you start, the passion for angling is a gift with a myriad of benefits. Wild fish tend to live in unspoiled natural places that offer an immersion in nature that promotes wellbeing and happiness. Though I am not a naturalist, I approach fishing from a naturalist's perspective. We are motivated to have our clients catch fish, however the time spent in wild, wooded, watery places with otters, kingfishers, eagles, and amphibians, is the true reward for a day out. Our goal is not to kill and eat a limit of fish. Conservation is key. We strongly suggest catch and release fishing, especially for our wild Brook (Speckled) Trout. We suggest only keeping 1 or 2 trout and for Striped Bass releasing the big spawning females over 35" I have been fly-fishing for over 35 years and fishing for 50 years. In that time I have taught my own children and many other people of all ages and backgrounds to fly-fish. We particularly enjoy bringing women and children into the sport. Fish have no biases and neither do we.
