Your journey will be aboard our 27’ custom-built center console boat, equipped with a powerful 115 HP Suzuki engine and advanced Garmin technology to quickly locate the fish. Comfortably catering to up to 7 guests, the boat features a private toilet, downriggers, outriggers, and snorkeling gear. For those booking a spearfishing tour, specialized equipment is also available. A first mate can join you on request, though Captain Gary can provide all the expertise you need.
Guanacaste’s waters are teeming with a diverse range of fish, including Roosterfish, Mahi Mahi, Cubera Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Broomtail Grouper, Red Snapper, and Wahoo. Whether you prefer bottom fishing, deep-sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, or spearfishing, you'll have all the necessary tools at your fingertips. Plus, Captain Gary offers complimentary cleaning and filleting services for your catch. Families are encouraged to join, with children warmly welcomed onboard.
All equipment and tackle are provided, including rods, reels, lures, and live bait. Enjoy light snacks, fresh fruit, water, and non-alcoholic beverages while you fish. If you need a fishing license, it can be arranged onboard for a small fee.

Free cancellation (3 days in advance).
Boomerang will fish rain or shine. We will only cancel the trip if the Captain says the water/weather is unsafe. If there are unforeseeable reasons we need to cancel we will communicate as soon as we are aware.

Growing in New Jersey we fished every chance we got; Blues in the Summer, stripers in Fall & Spring, Porgy on occasion, and even brought out the crab traps when possible. Flash forward and here I am in Costa Rica with a 27' panga catching, Snapper, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and potential record-breaking Roosterfish.
Captain Walter has been at the wheel for the last eight years and knows these waters and the in-shore fishing holes the best. His experience and knowledge are admired by other boat owners and fishermen/captains in our area.
Our desire to bring vacationers some of the best recreational fishing and Captain Walter's expertise helps set us apart while visiting Tamarindo/Flamingo/Potrero area. We can't wait to have you fishing with us on Boomerang and can't wait for you to come back!

Boomerang is located in Potrero, 911 Ruta, next to The Beach House Restaurant.
Book with 50% deposit
Once the charter confirms your trip, your credit card will be charged with a 50% deposit to guarantee the reservation.
Pay remaining balance to the manager
The remaining balance will be paid directly to the charter on the trip date.
