This sturdy vessel is outfitted with state-of-the-art navigational tools, including GPS and a Fishfinder, ensuring you land the perfect catch. Utilize the outriggers for better coverage and rely on the anchoring system to hold your position.
Accessibility is a priority on this vessel, which is wheelchair-friendly and equipped with a restroom for longer journeys. Keep your catch fresh in the icebox and use the live well to attract more fish.
Target an array of iconic Chesapeake Bay species in the inshore and nearshore waters. Try your hand at light tackle fishing for Striped Bass and Bluefish, or enhance your bottom fishing techniques to reel in Croaker. Autumn is an excellent season to jig for Seatrout and aim for trophy Bass.

Please note: The Striped Bass (Rockfish) season in Maryland is closed from July 16th through July 31st, 2022. During this time, we will focus on catching Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, White Perch, and Norfolk Spot.

Captain Shawn Brumley and his team, Captain Tawn Tipsword and Captain Kenny MacEwan, have over 30 years of experience fishing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The crew specialize in catching Striped Bass, Black Drum, and Bluefish. Capt. Shawn enjoys taking big groups of people out, showing them the beautiful waters of Maryland, and, of course, putting them on fish!
“Lucky Strike Charters” welcomes all angling enthusiasts to experience the thrill of fishing the Chesapeake Bay! Based in Deale, Maryland, you’ll launch out of Happy Harbor Marina with Captain Shawn Brumley. It’s the ideal opportunity to have a fun and action-packed experience with one of the best guides in the area!
Hop aboard a 46’ Markley pilothouse boat, which can accommodate up to 17 anglers. This seaworthy fishing machine is rigged with all the top navigational electronics including GPS and Fishfinder. Make good use of the outriggers to cover a larger surface area and use the anchoring system to stay in place.
What’s more this vessel is wheelchair accessible and is fitted with a toilet to make long trips more comfortable. The icebox keeps your catch fresh and the live well helps to entice the bite.
You’ll target a variety of legendary Chesapeake fish in the bay’s inshore and nearshore waters. Use light tackle to hook Striped Bass and Bluefish and brush up on your bottom fishing skills to hook Croaker. Fall is the ideal time to go jigging for Seatrout and to target trophy Bass.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a complete novice, Capt. Shawn is happy to accommodate your skill level. He’ll provide all the gear you need for a successful day and at the end of the trip, he’ll clean and fillet your catch. All you’ll want to bring are any drinks and snacks you’d like to enjoy.

The state of Maryland will close the Striped Bass season (Rockfish) starting July 16th through July 31st, 2024. During this period no targeting of Striped Bass will be permitted. During this closure period, you will be targeting Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, White Perch, and Norfolk Spot.

From I-495 (Virginia / D.C.)
Take exit 11A off of I-495 to RT 4 South (Pennsylvania Ave). Follow for 11 miles. Make a right onto the Deale/Bristol exit (RT 258). Follow for 5 miles through the stop light. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors on left). Go about 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.
From US 50/I-97 (Annapolis / Baltimore)
Take exit 24 to RT 2 South. Follow RT 2 for 14 miles. Make a left onto RT 258. Go 1 mile. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors is on the left). Go 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.
From I-70/I-270 (Frederick, MD / Northwestern)
Take I-270 to I-495 Southbound, stay on I-495 South and follow to exit 11A (Pennsylvania Ave.) onto RT 4 South. Follow for 11 miles. Make a right onto Deale/Bristol exit (RT 258). Follow for 5 miles through the stop light. Make a right onto Rockhold Creek Rd (Parks Liquors on left). Go about 1 mile. Harbor is on the left.
